Controller and contact
Lansing City Arena LLC d/b/a Futsal Champions Series is the controller of personal data processed on futsalchampionsseries.com, FCS LIVE, League Operations, FCS Plus, and FCS Team Plus. We are established in Michigan, United States.
Privacy and data-rights requests: teams@futsalchampionsseries.com. Use the form on this page or email that address. We respond within one month of a valid request (extendable by two months for complex cases, with notice).
When GDPR applies
FCS is a U.S. operator. The EU GDPR and UK GDPR apply when we offer accounts, memberships, or club desks to people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland — or when we otherwise process personal data of people there.
We honor the same request process for everyone, including U.S. athletes and fans. Product-specific collection is described in Site privacy, FCS Plus privacy, and Team Plus privacy.
Lawful bases (Art. 6)
We process personal data only when a lawful basis applies.
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — creating an account, delivering FCS Plus or Team Plus, billing, match-day operations, and transactional notices you asked for by signing up.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — league safety, fraud and abuse prevention, service diagnostics, and authorized staff support. Those interests do not override your rights.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — optional SMS, and any processing we ask you to opt into. You can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — tax, accounting, and records we must keep after a sale or dispute.
Health and load data (Art. 9)
FCS Tracker daily logs, body-map soreness, session check-ins, and similar wellness fields can be health-related (special category). We process that data only with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)), given by checking the consent box when you submit.
You may refuse or withdraw consent. The rest of League Operations still works. Withdrawal does not undo processing already completed. Coach evaluations of training are staff-only operational scores, not a medical record, and players do not see coach scores.
Your rights (Art. 15–22)
Where GDPR applies you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you may withdraw consent. You are not subject to a solely automated decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects — Team Plus analytics inform coaches; coaches and the league decide lineups and discipline.
We may refuse or limit a request when an exemption applies (for example billing records we must keep, or another person’s data mixed into a club chat). We will say why.
How to exercise a right
Submit the form on this page or email teams@futsalchampionsseries.com. Tell us which right you want, the email or username on the account, and enough detail to find the data. We may ask you to confirm identity before we release or delete anything.
There is no fee unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. If we cannot complete it in one month we will tell you and explain the extension.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose, then delete or irreversibly anonymize it.
- Account and roster identity — while the account is active, then up to 30 days after a verified deletion request (unless a longer legal hold applies).
- Billing and invoices — up to seven years for tax and accounting.
- Tracker, session check-ins, and coach evaluations — the club season plus 24 months, or sooner if you withdraw consent / request erasure and no legal hold applies.
- Club chat and inbox — the club season plus 12 months.
- Security and sign-in logs — up to 13 months.
Processors and transfers
We do not sell personal information. We use processors who help us run the platform. Because FCS is U.S.-based, EEA/UK data is transferred to the United States. Where required we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) plus the processor’s own transfer tools.
- Stripe — payments, invoices, customer portal.
- Resend — transactional email (receipts, invites, billing and rights notices).
- Twilio — SMS when a club or user enables texts.
- Hosting and database providers in the United States that store the site.
Staff access
Authorized FCS staff may open League Operations, coach, player, referee, and Media Desk accounts with a separate, unpublished operations credential for support, registration help, match-day check-ins, and league administration. The credential itself is never listed on this site. It is not a fan or public-site login. Use is limited to those operational purposes.
Clubs as joint controllers (Team Plus)
For Team Plus operational data (roster, Tracker, chat, plans), the purchasing club and FCS typically act as joint controllers: the club decides who is on the roster and what to log; FCS hosts the desk. You can send a rights request to either of us. We will coordinate. Start with the form on this page or your coach.
Personal-data breaches
If a breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of it where GDPR requires that. If the risk is high, we also notify affected people without undue delay, unless a legal exception applies.
Children
FCS Futures and youth programs run through clubs and parents or guardians. Where GDPR’s child-consent rule applies, a parent or guardian should approve accounts for anyone under 16. In the United States, do not create an account for a child under 13 except through an authorized parent or club official. Do not submit a child’s medical detail to Team Plus unless you are authorized to do so.
Complaints
Please contact teams@futsalchampionsseries.com first so we can fix the issue. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (for example the ICO in the United Kingdom, or the authority in your EEA member state). FCS has no EU establishment, so there is no single lead EU authority.
