Rebirthed and Ready. Mitwest is Back

Anyone who has followed the FCS knows that Mitwest FC is a mainstay in the league.  Since the very first series in 2021, the Detroit based club is has been honing their futsal craft within the walls of Lansing Arena.

In a season of changes across the league, this certainly feels like a "rebirth" moment for the club.  Taking on a fresh challenge of the travel required this season with home and away matches, the time to apply what was learned in the last 3 years is now.  The task of managing all those changes this season is led by Francois Nbwangu.  Mitwest FC will look to his guidance and experience to pioneer this new territory.

One of the interesting story lines within the league this year is the rivalry with cross town team Detroit Imperial.  With so much history between the two clubs, pride of course will be on the line when they face their neighbors.  With defending champions within their city limits, Mitwest FC has a high bar to reach for.

In the 2022/23 series and 2023/24 series, Mitwest saw second place finishes against Lansing, as well as Midwest United.  With some close brushes with the ultimate victory, is this the year that Mitwest FC tastes championship gold?  Only time will tell with an exciting season ahead!
