Newcomers Ready to Make a Splash. It's Ginga FS!

In a year of firsts for FCS, one of those most notable is the first ever Ohio-based team to participate in the Series.  Cincinnati based Ginga is looking to make a big splash in their new home.

Ginga are no strangers to the futsal landscape.  Two seasons in the NFPL found them mid table in both affairs, but the memorable futsal they brought to the court is what really tells the story.  Propelled by veteran futsal players like Erik Hegerty and TJ Ward, Ginga became a squad that could not ever be ignored as a potential dark horse.  Head Coach Satoru Matsushima brings a wealth of experience in his leadership role with the squad, having played professionally himself across the globe.

Now Ginga takes on a fresh challenge within the Futsal Champions Series!  "Ginga is always hoping and trying to make futsal popular and widespread in the USA, and FCS is definitely the best portion of it" said Matsushima, "Looking forward to playing with the league's great teams, let's make it fun together!"

When looking ahead to the 2024-25 season, Coach Matsushima has humble expectations:  "First of all, we respect all the teams, staff, referees, and audience within FCS.  We already know the league is going to be competitive and none of the games are easy.  Still, Ginga is looking for fair play both internally and with the opposing team players."

Ginga is sure to become a fan favorite in FCS, and their own fans will surely bring the noise again as they always have within Flock Sports Entertainment Center.  Their highly anticipated debut season in FCS is sure to be a welcome addition to the league for years to come.
